What is the PBJ? The Long-term Care Facility Staffing Payroll-Based Journal encompasses auditable data on
staffing and resident census in nursing homes, as required by Section 6106 of the Affordable Care Act.
This data is submitted quarterly and provides the most accurate depiction of actual staffing levels.
